Rathgormack GAA Club

Dear club member/parent,

Rathgormack GAA Club would like to take this opportunity to thank all it’s members, parents of juvenile members, & our loyal supporters for the wonderful support they have given us down through the years which has enabled us to put the facilities in place that are in existence today at Johnny Curry Park, Ballinafina, & also to provide a healthy pastime for all our members as they represent our parish in the many teams that we have from U6 to adult level. It has always been the policy of Rathgormack GAA Club to allow our members to take part in the activities organized by the club for the minimum of cost. This is reflected in our yearly membership rates of €10 for juveniles up to U18, €30 for students & non-playing members, & €60 for adult playing members. These rates are very low compared to other sporting organizations & we intend to keep them at these levels for the foreseeable future. We do not believe in asking for additional payments for events during the year, particularly for our juveniles, as we feel it is important that money should not prevent the youth of our parish from taking part in all the football activities that the club organizes. Rathgormack GAA Club can do this by running a tight ship & by running a number of successful fundraisers throughout the year to cover our costs. We expect, & it is essential, that our members support these fundraising events as much as possible, as their success down through the years ensures that we can continue with these policies & continue debt free.

Our three main fundraisers every year are the Waterford GAA Deise County Draw, (March-April), our yearly horse racing night (October), & our bag packing event in Dunnes Stores, Clonmel at Christmas. These events provide 70-80% of the funding required to run the club for the year. With this in mind, we would ask all our members & parents of our juvenile members, to continue to support us by purchasing a Deise Draw ticket in the coming weeks, as the first draw takes place on the 25th April. There are 9 draws in total, €10 per draw, between April & December, with a top prize of €10,000 per month. Rathgormack GAA Club gets €63 of every €90 ticket sold. Tickets can be purchased from all committee members or directly from Club Chairman Noel Kirwan, 087-2271759, or our Deise Draw Coordinator, Tom Hassett, 085-1741486.

Thanks for your continued support in advance.

Yours in Sport,

Rathgormack GAA Club Committee
