Earlier this evening,Wednesday 27th March, we secured the 2013 U21 'A' county title, & our 2nd in 3 years, when we had a 6 point victory over Ballinacourty, 1-8 to 05, underlights in Fraher Field, Dungarvan. An exceptional first 15 minutes after which we led 1-3 to 0-0, paved the way for victory, & although the standard of the game dropped as the match progressed, we worked hard throughout the field for the full 60 minutes & were clearly the better team on the night. Gavin Nugent was scorer in chief with 1-4, & young William Hahessy, with a man of the match performance which saw him cover every blade of grass on the pitch & show a maturity beyond his years, started & finished the scoring in the 5th & 62nd minutes. The other points came from Liam Walsh (Bally) & a beauty from Conor Hennebry. Well done to all the players on the squad & to team manager Kenny Hassett & his selectors Brendan Curry & Tom Hassett.
