Senior Football

Our seniors lost out to Kilrosanty in the league under lights in Leamybrien last Friday night, in a match that was switched from Saturday, on a score line of 1-9 to 0-7. They have a big game ahead next weekend when they play their first championship match of the year against Ballinameela. The match that has been switched from the original venue of Leamybrien to Stradbally & has a 7:00 PM throw in on Saturday 13th April. Please come along & support the lads on the night.

Intermediate Football

Fielding an under strength team last Friday night away to Kilmac in the league, in a match switched from Sunday, we lost out on a score-line of 1-12 to 1-4. Trailing at the break by 1-7 to 1-1, with our goal coming from Kenny Hassett, we played second fiddle throughout, although some of our young players fresh from the U21 county final success showed up well.

Team: Eamonn Cahill, John Crotty, Brendan Behan, Muiris Quinlan, Mikey Halpin, John Kirwan (Bally), David Connolly, Jason Murray, Liam Walsh (Bally), Donal Larkin, Paudie Whelan, Conor Hennebry, John Kirwan (Cool), Steven Power, Kenny Hassett. Subs: Tony Curry for Kenny Hassett, Kevin Dunne for Jason Murray, Tony Bolger for Mikey Halpin, Vinny Murray for John Crotty.

We start our championship campaign next Sunday, at 2:30 PM against Dunhill in Kill. Here’s hoping for a good start to the campaign.
