Senior Football

Our final group championship match against The Nire goes ahead on Sunday 1st September at 2:PM in Leamybrien. It’s all to play for in the last round so here’s hoping for a good result that would see us qualify for the quarter-finals. Please come along & show your support for the lads.

Intermediate Football

Our intermediate teams re-arranged relegation play-off against Gaultier went ahead on Monday 26th August at 7PM in Dunhill. We do not have a result to hand at the time of submission of the notes.

Johnny Roche Cup U16 Football Tournament

The final of this tournament went ahead on Monday 19th August where Rathgormack took on Tramore & after a very competitive hours football, the home team came away with a single point victory, 0-13 to 0-12. This was great preparation for this teams upcoming championship as they had four competitive games in the last few weeks. The Roche family were on hand after the match to present the Johnny Roche memorial cup to winning captain Gavin Sheehan.

Waterford U-16 ladies football success

There was strong local connections with the Waterford U16 ladies football team who secured All-Ireland ‘B’ success last Saturday when they had a convincing win over Meath on a score-line of 4-12 to 2-7 in Nenagh. Seven local girls representing Comeragh Rangers, Aoife, Emma & Katie Murray, Aine, Geraldine & Shona Power, & Kate Hahessy, were members of the squad & the team was coached by Joe Murray, with Sean Curry acting as selector. Well done to all concerned on a great victory.
