Victory Social

A huge crowd in excess of 300 people attended our victory social in conjunction with Clonea GAA Club last Saturday night, at the Park Hotel in Dungarvan, to celebrate last years U21 & Junior county success in both football & hurling. On a great night for both clubs, county board chairman, Tom Cunningham, presented the Eastern & county medals to the players, with presentations also made to the management teams involved. Well done to all who were involved in the organisation of the night, which went off without a hitch, & hopefully we will have many more similar nights in the years ahead.

Minor Football

Our minors finally kick off their championship campaign next Sunday 18th March, at 11:30 AM when they play Gaultier at home, following postponement of the first 2 scheduled games.

U13 Football

A weakened U13 team had a narrow loss away to Gaultier in their championship last Saturday afternoon.

Scrap Metal Collection

Rathgormack GAA Club in conjunction with Comeragh Rangers Ladies Football Club will hold a scrap metal collection throughout the parish at the end of April in order to raise funds for both clubs. So if you have any scrap metal that you want to get rid of or know anyone in a similar situation, please gather it together in the next 2 months & both clubs will be more than happy to take it off your hands. Specific details for collection etc. will be sorted out by the appointed sub-committee in the coming weeks & all households in the parish will be notified of the proposed arrangements in plenty of time.

Deise Draw

The time of year is almost upon us again, as the first Deise draw will be held on the last Friday in March. Tickets have been distributed to all club members to buy or sell, so please get as many back as possible in the next week, to any committee member, or club coordinator, Tom Hassett.

Any club member who has not yet paid their membership fee for the coming year must ensure it is paid to the clubs membership officer, Ger Kirwan, before the end of March. Membership for the year is €10 for juveniles, €30 for non-playing adults & U21’s, & €60 for playing adults.

U10’s in action in Walsh Park

Next Sunday, 18th March, our U10 players are invited to participate in a match at half time in the Waterford versus Fermanagh National Football League match, in Walsh Park. This is a great experience for our young players & it is the 2nd year in a row that we have had a similar opportunity, as last year we played at half time in the Waterford versus Tipperary league match, in the first floodlight inter county match at Fraher Field.
