Minor Football

Our minors rearranged first match of the championship against Clashmore/Kinsalebeg again failed to go ahead last weekend for the second week in a row.

U21 Football

We had a very comfortable start to the U21 championship last Sunday away to Ferrybank, when we ran out easy winners on a score line of 2-15 to 0-2. We have a far tougher test next Saturday when we take on De La Salle in the eastern semi final. A venue has not been selected at the time of submitting the notes but the match goes ahead next Saturday afternoon at 2 PM.

Senior Football

Rathgormack will kick off their 2013 senior football championship campaign on Saturday 13th April against Ballinameela in Leamybrien followed a week later, 20th April, when they will take on Ballinacourty in Fraher Field. They will start their county football league campaign on Sunday 3rd March when they play away to Gaultier.

All club members are now reminded that this year’s membership is now due & should be played to any team manager, or to our new club registrar, Michael Crotty. The cost is the same as last year, €10 for all juveniles up to & including minors, €30 for U21’s & non-playing members, & €60 for adult playing members.

Juvenile indoor football

Now that the springtime is here, it’s time for our young juveniles to dust off their boots & playing gear as indoor football returns for U6, U8 & U10’s on Wednesday 20th February & will continue every Wednesday until the end of March when we will move outside for the summer. Notices will be sent to all players in the schools in the coming week & we would ask that all players bring along their yearly membership fee & signed forms on our first night back. Times for the Wednesday night sessions are as follows:

U6 (born 2007 & 2008) -6-7 pm,  U8( born 2005 & 2006 ) –7-8 pm, U10( born 2003 & 2004 ) –8-9 pm. The U6 session is for boys & girls, while all other sessions are for boys only.
