Senior Football

The replay of our senior football relegation playoff against St. Saviours goes ahead next Saturday night, 15th October in Kilmac under lights at 7:30 P.M. Here’s hoping for a big improvement on our performance from the last day. Please come along & give the lads your support on the night.

Junior Football

We will meet a Clashmore team in great form in the upcoming county final after they comfortably dispatched a very good Stradbally team in the Western final last weekend, beating them by 7 points. It is likely that this will go ahead on the 22nd or 23rd October but at the time of submitting the notes we have not yet received a fixture.

U16 Football

Our U16’s have qualified for the Div. 2 County final after beating St. Oliver’s in the semi-final last Sunday in Kilmac. They will now play the winners of The Nire versus Tramore who were in the other semi-final. The final is fixed for next weekend in the Bord Na Nog fixtures booklet, but at the time of submitting the notes, no official fixture has been issued. All the players will be notified as soon as we receive a fixture. Please keep an eye on the local press or our website for the fixture & please come along & support our young players in the final.

U13 Football

Our U 13’s lost out at home to Gaultier in their second match last Saturday. They have one match left to play against De La Salle next weekend, but after 2 defeats appear to be out of contention.

Juvenile Training

Juvenile training from U6 to U10 was wrapped for the year in the last week or so, with our U8’s taking part in 2 matches against Kilrosanty & Ballyduff Upper last Saturday in Leamybrien, being the final action of the season. Players & parents can have a well-deserved break for the next few months before we recommence with indoor training in the community centre in the spring of 2012. The club would like to thank all the parents for their co-operation throughout the year, as without your assistance it would be very hard to keep the show on the road. All our juveniles made great strides throughout the year & it was clear to see how the weekly training sessions & regular blitz’s saw all players improve beyond expectations. The club would like to thank all those who helped out with any of the juvenile teams, & it was greatly appreciated by everyone, especially the young players. We hope to have a night for all our juvenile players in the community centre in the next month or so, and all parents will be contacted when the details have been sorted out.
